1. The title was given to this movie because eddie aikau was the main focus, and had a huge influence of the hawaiian surfing culture. Making him a "legend" in that area.
2. The films argument was about how eddie saw things such as family, hawaiian culture, friendship, and surfing as important, and how he promoted them.
3. Being made by espn, this film had to include some type of sport, this one being surfing. In order to satisfy their customer type, espn had to make the main focus be a sport in order to fall under their channels genre.
4. Having been made by a different channel, this film could have had narrowed in more on hawaiian history had it been made by the history channel. Or something such as culture had it been made by pbs, instead of being about sports like espn did.
6. Other documentaries could be made on how the people managed to travel by boat across the ocean by only using the stars. Others could also be made on eddie aikau's brothers who were also successful in surfing.
