News Post Cycle 5

According to this post Russia has been taking its cyber attacks on the west up a notch. It says that Russia is doing so by getting more people to take actions such as blogging about things that make people have less confidence in the U.S. over topics such as the racial and presidential issues. While Russia might have filters to prevent anybody from hearing actual good news about the United States, bad news is the only thing getting attention hear in the U.S. also. So to me its as if we are helping the Russians lose confidence in us without them having to do anything.

The government has finally came to an agreement on the funding of the issues such as zika virus, the flint water crisis, and Louisiana flooding. The plans are set to last until December 7th so the government will keep running til then. Aside from the fact that they finally reached an agreement, im glad there was no shutdown as most jobs in Huntsville are government related and many were effected by the last shutdown that happened.

News Post Cycle 4

The Trump Hotels were recently breached, losing information on customers credit card numbers and other personal info. After all the breaches going on nowadays this fits right in, except for the fact that it connects to Trump. The story is probably gaining more attention than others due to the fact it connects to the presidential candidate. Whiles some might use this to criticize Trump, it is just another common thing, and Trump most likely had nothing to do with resolving the breach.

It turns out that the most recent shooting of a black man that took place in Charlotte cant be blamed on race. The officer that shot Keith Scott was African American himself, something that the press has said very little about. Many dont know this it seems and keep on pulling the race card during protests and debates. I followed up on Brentley Vinson and when googling him this image showed up.
Brenson is the tallest one standing in the middle, confirmed by multiple official sources. Upon googling the image, along with photos of the actual Brenson, there are many that are zoomed in on the white officer on the left. Due to that showing up, many would see that and assume it is another black man-white officer shooting, and therefore use the race argument. Either way not enough evidence has been released to the public to prove wether or not Keith Scott had a gun like the officer claims, or a book like the family says.

New Post Cycle 4

After all the previous protest, this just seems like another one in the cycle. According to the city, the man shot by the police officer, was holding a gun and refusing to obey the police officers orders. But according to the family of the man he was holding a book. One source obviously seems more reliable but the protesters aren't thinking that. To me it seems like another excuse to cause chaos without getting progress,  like many of the other protests.

News Post Cycle 4

Recently a American engineer managed to get on a few of North Korea's websites which are normally restricted from outside the country. The websites give very little information on the country, most of them being about things like North Korean film, food, and the leader. They all depict North Korea as a great place in ways such as describing the food. One might think that the websites would give away a little information as they are suppose to only be accessed from North Korea, but they clearly show very little.

New Post Cycle 4

With all the events going down nowadays i wonder if this will pass like all the others. The boston bombing seemed to have a longer lifespan than all the shootings, maybe because it was a bombing instead of shooting. That could cause this event to stay popular for a while, especially since it seems to be affiliated with a terror organization. From reading this post it seems as if there is still much more to be discovered as the government is still investigating, raiding, and attempting to track down supposed affiliates of the bombing. While the suspect seems to not have physical connections to terror groups, he most likely has some connection in ways such as the internet.

Trump seems to be getting a lot of heat from people due to him having a mutual respect with Putin. On some views that could be very good due to the recent heat that has been coming up between Russia and the U.S. recently. Others though, are seeing it as a negative due to them not agreeing what Russia is doing in areas like Ukraine. Personally, it seems like a good thing to me as it would prevent a war from starting between Russia and the U.S.

This post is discussing North Korea's progress towards nuclear missiles. Since 2006, their nuclear warhead power has increased by over 10 times, however many believe that the missiles they have launched arent large enough to hold those warheads, despite North Korea claiming they are. Even if it is false that they can launch are nuclear warhead, they are getting extremely close and i believe the world should do more about it. All countries have done is give them warnings and sanctions, which clearly arent changing anything. A large action will eventually go down and i dont know which side will do it.

In recent news, the former Virginia governor bob mcdonnell was charged violating federal bribery law. Mcdonnell accepted gifts and loans from a wealthy business, in exchange for promoting a dietary supplement. The court ruled is distasteful, but didnt violate any laws, which i agree with. He didnt take any bribes that effected politics in any way. It was practically promoting a product such as Shaq the basketball player promoting gold bond.

This post is discussing the senate's action on the zika virus, and it clearly shows how they are putting abortion clinics above zika in their priorities which seems very disturbing as their are way more cases of zika than abortions in the past year. Some of the members might have a logic that people will need much more abortions due to the zika virus infecting many. For some odd reason the senate democrats joined the republicans to pass a appropriations bill which included 1.1 billion to fight zika. However the democrats turned around and blocked multiple attempts to fund zika, which according to this post, they did so in order to blame republicans before the november election. Im not sure whether thus is true or not, as many say FOX is a republican sided news network, but if it is true, that is a very dirty way of winning votes without thinking about the people.

News Post Cycle 3

This Epipen issue has just came into debate recently due to the owning company Mylan N.N. increasing the price for a two pack of Epipens from 100, to 600. Many have prompted the government to take action against this but the problem is that it is completely legal for the company to do that, its just part of the capitalist society that we live in. Government groups such as congress are putting heat on Mylan for doing this, but i believe that they can pressure the company but shouldnt be able to force them to change anything. Forcing them to change would take away the freedom of the capitalist society we live in, and could prompt many changes like that in the future. The company should eventually realize how they are losing sales in the United States, due to people driving to other countries such as Canada where the prices are lower. Either way the company should be able to do what they want, as we do live in a free society.

With Obama's presidential term ending soon it seems like he's trying to go out with a bang. This agreement he just signed with China is regarding the carbon emission issue which the world is dealing with. The agreement covers an entire 55 countries that cover 55 percent of carbon emissions, and now that China and the US have agreed, nearly 40% of the emissions are covered, which could mark a huge change for the future.
