The article this post is based on talks about the trump hotel in dc and how now that trump is president the people visiting him will practically be forced to stay in his hotel. While that isnt a big ordeal as trump hotel would be as nice as all the other hotels they could stay in however i feel that all of trumps business connections will have bigger roles in the future government. Trump has stated that he will distance himself from all his businesses to focus on the presidential role. Makes me wonder if any of his actions will be influenced to benefit some of the many connections he has. What would be best is if a president had no way to benefit off of any actions they did but that is impossible.

The new Filipino president has been very against America recentley and has been driving to get American troops out of their country so its no surpirse that extremists have used that as a motive. In this post 2 Filipino militants with ISIS affiliations attempted to set off a bomb near the U.S. embassy twice but failed each time. Seems as if actions like these will definetley have an influence on the U.S. precense in the country. Seems to me that the ISIS affiliations would give the troops more reason to stay in the country. But at the same time these acts could spur other people with the same view to take action to get the troops out.

The south korean presidential scandal has turned out even more interesting than when i wrote about it a few weeks back. In my previous blog post the president seemed to be standing up against people wanting to impeach her. Now however she has stated that if the vote is made by lawmakers, she will resign. a 2/3 vote is needed by the lawmakes to pass with the impeachment which is very clever on the presidents part as they are just as likely to not pass a vote as they are to pass one. But according to this article over 40 lawmakes have indicated they would support it, which would go over the 2/3 votes needed. But there is currently a action going underway which is proposed to have the president able to serve 2 4 year terms like the United States instead of 1 five year term which South Korea currently has. If that passes the president will get a more dignified exit which is why she is trying to distract people from her scandal.
